Ivan and Gabriel Broggini, the brothers who form the band Sinplus which represented Switzerland in Baku in 2012, released a brand new single. Titled Phoenix from the ashes, the new track was recorded in London and anticipates the release of the band’s forthcoming album Up to me on 17 January 2014.
The Ticino-born brothers are back from a long stay in London where they worked on 10 tracks with the help of the prestigious producer Joe Hirst (The Edge, Sum 41, Bloc Party). The new album is the result of a hard work and influences from groups like U2, Thirty Seconds to Mars and One Republic, and will contain a song with the young singer of Jamaican origins Lady Chan.
The texts of the album are not necessarily autobiographic but reflects the philosophy of the band, being strong no matter what, as stated in the very first words of their Eurovision entry Unbreakable: ‘Swim against the stream…’ The first single of the upcoming album, Phoenix from the ashes, was sent to the radios. The track which is supported by a lyric video is available on all digital platforms and already entered i-Tunes at #29.
