ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster has informed and confirmed to esctoday.com that Conchita Wurst has been internally selected to represent Austria at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The news regarding the 2014 Austrian representative leaked out today in the Austrian press. The Austrian broadcaster has confirmed to esctoday.com that Conchita Wurst will indeed be the 2014 Eurovision representative. More details and information regarding Austria’s 2014 Eurovision plans will be disclosed in due course.

Thus Austria joins FYR Macedonia and San Marino in selecting their 2014 Eurovision representative via an internal selection.

Conchita Wurst tried to represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 when she competed at the 2012 Austrian national final but missed out to Trakshittaz who won the golden ticket to Baku.
