Latvia: LTV will most likely participate in Eurovision 2014

LTV, the national Latvian broadcaster has informed esctoday.com that Latvia will most likely participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. An official confirmation is yet to be made by the Latvian broadcaster regarding their participation next year.

The method and mechanism Latvia will use in order to select their Eurovision entry if they participate is yet to be determined. More details and information regarding Latvia and the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest will be disclosed in due course.

Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Albania, Iceland, Ireland, San Marino, Georgia , Switzerland , The Netherlands, Estonia, Malta and Belgium have all confirmed their participation at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest next year in Denmark. Whilst Belarus has said they will most likely be in the competition next year.

Latvia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 and has won the event in 2002 with Marie N‘s I wanna.  Latvia has competed in every single contest since its debut in 2000.  2014 will be the country’s 15th Eurovision entry if they compete next year.
