Nayah, the 1999 French representative in Jerusalem, succeeded in her wager to record and produce a brand new album. Almost 15 years after her Eurovision participation with Je veux donner ma voix, the singer is proud to announce her new effort titled Je suis which will be available on more than thirty digital platforms as from 8 July.

Recorded in Toulouse,  in the South-West of France, the whole project had been delayed for several months due to the surgery the singer had to go through to remove some bad polyps on her vocal cords. Thanks to the support of her fans, Nayah is finally releasing her new material. Fully recovered, she is now eager to promote on stage her new album which is described as being her most personal project, the opportunity she was waiting for to tell the world who she really is.

The album is made of 12 songs ranging from romantic ballads to reggae, dance or disco music showing Nayah’s talent not only as a singer but also as a songwriter. The songs were recorded with some prestigious musicians such as André Coutu who is the personal guitarist of the 1988 Eurovision winner Céline Dion whom Nayah has been impersonating for over a decade now. The album also includes a tribute to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson who both inspired her, and to the great Catalan artist Jordi Barre, in Catalan language, with whom she made her debut when she was a teenager.

A few months ago, Nayah had chosen to send to the radios the song also entitled Je suis as the first single to promote the album. The track is a particularly well performed and produced bossa nova cover of one of the main hits of Nicole Rieu, the 1975 French Eurovision representative, who fully backs her effort.
