Natasha St-Pier has been enjoying a very successful year so far. The past Eurovision Song contest contestant has been a coach on The Voice Belgium and has signed again for the next season. She has also released a duet with Anggun featured on her new album called Thérèse, vivre d’amour which entered the charts in France at number 2 and has been certified Platinum, her 2013 tour resumes next week after stopping in Dubai and she will host from September a new music show on French national TV Eurovision broadcaster France 3. France Televisions came under fire lately after stopping music TV shows Taratata and Chabada due to budget cuts, upsetting lots of fans and artists who started campaigns on the internet to save the shows.
According to puremedias.com, 3 musical projects were competing and the show with Natasha St-Pier as host and produced by Carson Prod (who produced a TV show about Celine Dion which attracted 4.8 million viewers late 2012) was the one that convinced France 3. The show is called “Les chansons d’abord” (translated literally from French Songs First) and Natasha will be joined by 5 new artists who will discuss together with a special guest not only songs of the week but songs that became popular 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 or 50 years ago.
We wish Natsha St-Pier the best of luck for her forthcoming tour and new TV show.
Natasha St-Pier represented France at the 46th Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen and finished fourth with 142 points, which is still as of today the latest best ranking for France in the competition. She sang the song in French and English Je n’ai que mon âme. Natasha has since enjoyed a successful career in French speaking countries.
