Belgium's entry for the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest in Birmingham, Dis oui, has been released as a cover version by the winner of France's fifth Star Academy season, Magalie Vaé.

Dis oui (Say yes) was originally sung by Mélanie Cohl in Birmingham, and reached a highly successful sixth place out of 25 entries in the contest that year. Now, Magalie presents the track as the follow up to her debut single Je ne suis qu'une chanson (I'm nothing but a song) after winning France's Star Academy. The news comes as a pleasant surprise to Eurovision fans, as Magalie had initially suggested that the song Plus tard would feature on her second single.

Dis oui will be released at the end of December or the beginning of January, but fans can already get a taste of the new version at this link .
