Ruslana records duet for charity album

Ruslana has been busy in Germany, attending several events promoting the launch of a new charity album. The release is a duet album featuring Peter Maffay for the charity Meetings, Union For Children. You can see the orignial version of the song by clicking on the 'play' icon below.


Peter Maffay is a respected singer and has worked on numerous charity projects. The Ukrainan part of the project is headed by the country's president, Victor Yushchenko, who famously won power in the Orange Revolution in late 2004, and presented Helena Paparizou with the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest trophy on stage in Kyiv. Part of the funds, gathered from the project, will be granted to the Ukrainian hospitals in Lviv and Dnipropetrovs’k cities for the children, suffering the consequences ofthe Chornobyl disaster.

12 artists from the four continents participated in the recording of the album. For her contribution, Ruslana rearranged her old hit Svitanok. The new versionhasa new “hard” sound, and was recordedtogether with Maffay. The album release is to take placetoday in the presence of well known politicians, artists and patrons of the arts.
