475 entries for Danish selection

12.00 CET today was the deadline for submitting songs for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2007. It was announced that 475 songs were entered for the honour of representing Denmark.

2007 will be the first year ever, that Denmark has had semifinals to determine their entry. Last year DR had 336 songs entered in the competition.

esconnet.dk know that the composer and writer of last years winning song Twist of Love, will try again. He has, along with his son, Lasse Drevsholt, a member of Luna Park, entered a song. Also Neighbours, with Helge Engelbrecht, composer and writer of En lille melodi the Danish entry in 1987, has once again submitted a song for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.

1st semifinal takes place in Musikteateret Holstebro on 26th January, 2007
2nd semifinal takes placein Aalborg Kongress- og Kulturcenter on 2nd February 2007
Dansk Melodi Grand PrixFinal in Forum Horsens on 10th February, 2007

Tickets will be onn sale, from 30th October, 2006. At billetnet.dk and at the ticketoffice at the venues.
