As the third day of the rehearsals kicked off in Malmö, esctoday.com got the chance to speak with this year’s representative from Ireland, Ryan Dolan.

Esctoday’s Robin Scott spoke with Ryan about his journey from the Irish national selection to his semi-final in Malmö. “I feel amazing, and I’m really excited to get over here and get started”, he said. He also told Robin about the positive reception his song has received, and the release of a mini album of songs he’s written with Wes Devine, to coincide with next week’s Eurovision semi-finals.

Ryan Dolan will represent Ireland at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with Only love survives, a song he co-wrote with Wez Devine. He will compete in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest Semifinal 1 on 14 May, and is placed 13 in the show’s running order.

Only love survives won Ireland’s Eurosong 2013 in February this year and will be the country’s 47^th  entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.
