On October 30th the biggest charity event in Germany for children suffering from cancer will take place in the widely unknown German town Appen in Schleswig-Holstein. It is named Appen musiziert following the host city. Some Eurovision Song Contest entrants will also be present.
Lou, who represented Germany in 2003, will sing her song Let's get happy, which was her entry in Riga. The song wasn't succesful in Germany though – it didn't even manage to enter the charts. Ingrid Peters, the German entrant in 1986 will also be present. She will sing her songs Afrika and Komm' doch mal rüber. Furthermore, Tina York will be on stage. She participated in the German national final in 1976 with the song Das alte Haus. She only came last, but nevertheless she had some minor hits in Germany. In Appen she will sing Wir lassen uns das Singen nicht verbieten.
Other performing artists will be The Equals, Tommy Steiner, Didi Diesel and Dave Ashby. The promoters of the event already stated, that the number of famous singers is record-breaking. This is the 20th edition of the annual show and it has been quite succesful in recent years.
Lou finished 13th in Riga with Let's get happy. So far, it was the last German entry written by Ralph Siegel. In 1986, Ingrid Peters came 8th with the song Über die Brücke geh'n in Bergen.
