Olivia Lewis participated successfully in the famous Romanian festival Golden Stag and obtained a prestigious third placing for Malta. She wowed crowds with an exceptional performance of the Philip Vella & Gerard James Borg song Déjà vu, as she competed with 20 other artists who poured in from every corner of the globe, including the United States of America, and Canada.

The over all winner was Italian singer Linda, who is of Romanian decent, and has also reached a third place at the 2004 San Remo festival, whilst also taking part in the popular tv show Music Farm. Romanian singer Andra, who is fresh from winning the Romanian national festival, took the second spot for the night.

Olivia, who was accompanied by composer Philip Vella, was wildly credited for her brilliant performance of Déjà vu by all members of the media, and the song has been given a lot of airplay on the Romanian public radio, as it was a top favourite with the DJs and media.

The 2006 Golden Stag festival this year hosted Joe Cocker and Natalie Imbruglia as guest artists, and had none other than famous songwriter and producer Guy Fletcher to chair the jury. Fletcher was responsible for songs made famous by Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, and Ray Charles. Other judges included Nick Feldman from Sony-BMG and Luminita Anghel who successfully represented Rumania in this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Olivia came second in the Maltese national selection for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest.
