What is more representative for Switzerland than chocolate? This was the common thought among the members of Takasa, this year’s Swiss representative, at the moment of filming their Eurovision postcard.
Last week, the Swiss entrants met the team of Sveriges Television SVT in charge of recording their postcard. The host broadcaster wanted to give a special treatment to Takasa’s clip as they thought was difficult to find a common place or a favourite music genre amongst the six members.
Instead of show their hometowns or their daily activities, this year’s Swiss representatives were filmed making a chocolate dissert with the Eurovision logo and the Swiss flag and taking part in a chocolate war, says Christoph Jakob – lead singer – on an interview to the official website.
The recording took place on 27 March in the neighbour country, Austria.
Takasa will sing You and Me in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 16 May.
