We have seen half of the six shows that make up the Swedish selections to the Eurovision Song Contest, Melodifestivalen now.
This weekend the last qualifying heat will take place, and this time we have Swedish super group Alcazar reuniting for the interval act.
But just like the other weeks this year, the Melodifestivalen hosts will play a big part even in the interval acts.
So Danny Saucedo will be joining the three last members of Alcazar, Andreas Lundstedt, Lina Hedlund and Tess Merkel for the interval in the fourth heat in Malmö.
Alcazar existed for ten years, and apart from claiming international success, took part in Melodifestivalen several times, but never got a higher position than third.
Swedish tabloid Expressen is once again saying that the interval act in the Melodifestivalen final in the Friends Arena will be one of biggest names in Sweden, Melodifestivalen and Eurovision Song Contest, the 1991 Swedish Eurovision winner Carola.
The paper says Carola, winner of Melodifestivalen in 1983, 1991 and 2006, will sing a medley of her biggest hits during the final in three weeks.
Carola has also written on her blog, that she will stand on that stage again in a few weeks.
Simple, but powerful, I hope, she writes. We will create a tribute to the music with the audience with a feeling that ANYTHING can happen in one night, she states cryptically.
Melodifestivalen producer for SVT, Christer Björkman, tells Expressen via SMS: Carola is always high on our wish list. More than that am I not willing to say for the time being.
The last Melodifestivalen heat will come from the same arena, that in May will be the venue for the Eurovision Song Contest, Malmö Arena.
Melodifestivalen heat 4, on Saturday at 20.00 CET, come back to esctoday.com for details.
