The second semi-final of the Swedish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest concluded. Eight acts competed for the chance to perform in the grand final to be held on 9 March in Stockholm.

Melodifestivalen is the most popular Swedish music competition and its being used annually since 1959 as their national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. The 2013 edition kicked-off last week when the first semi-final took place in Karlskrona.

Qualifiers for the grand final in Stockholm, 9 March :

  • Sean Banan – Copacabanana (Ola Lindholm, Sean Samadi, Hans Blomberg, Joakim Larsson)
  • Louise Hoffsten – Only the dead fish follow the stream (Louise Hoffsten, Sandra Bjurman, Stefan Örn)

Qualifiers for the second chance round, 2 March :

  • Anton Ewald – Begging (Fredrik Kempe, Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad)
  • Erik Segerstedt & Tone Damli – Hello goodbye (Robin Fredriksson, Mattias Larsson, Måns Zelmerlöw)
