Montenegro 
Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG) recently hosted a significant Eurovision Workshop in Tivat, bringing together representatives from various public broadcasters and Eurovision delegations. The gathering focused on a comprehensive analysis of past Eurovision Song Contests and strategic planning for upcoming editions. This marks the first time Montenegro has hosted such a pivotal event.
On September 14 and 15, 2026, the picturesque town of Tivat in Montenegro welcomed delegates from across Europe for an important Eurovision Workshop, organised and hosted by the national broadcaster, RTCG. The event, held at Porto Montenegro, served as a crucial platform for the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and participating broadcasters to delve into various aspects of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Attendees, including heads of delegations and press teams, engaged in discussions covering a wide range of topics essential to the contest’s future. Key areas of focus included the analysis of previous Eurovision editions, the planning of upcoming events, and potential adjustments to rules and voting systems. Transparency, audience trust, production, organisation, and logistics were also high on the agenda.
This workshop provided an invaluable opportunity for direct dialogue with the EBU team, allowing delegations to present suggestions and proposals aimed at enhancing the competition. The discussions aimed to ensure Eurovision remains a modern, attractive, and credible television format for its vast global audience.
For RTCG, hosting this workshop represents a significant step in strengthening its collaboration with the EBU and other European media organisations. It underscores Montenegro’s increasing engagement within the Eurovision community and its commitment to the contest’s ongoing development.
Delegates from circa 37 countries were represented at this year’s Eurovision workshop where BNT, the 2027 Eurovision host broadcaster shed more light on its on-going preparations for the upcoming Eurovision edition in Burgas next year.
