St. Anastasia Island is gearing up to become a prominent attraction for visitors during the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Burgas. As Bulgaria’s only inhabited island, it holds unique appeal and is ready to welcome the influx of guests to the Black Sea coast.

With Burgas officially confirmed as the host city for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, the entire region is preparing to showcase its best to Europe and the world. St. Anastasia Island, a picturesque and historically rich location, is set to play a significant role in welcoming international delegations and fans.

Situated just off the coast of Burgas, St. Anastasia Island is the sole inhabited island in Bulgaria and is already a popular tourist destination. Its unique charm and accessibility make it an ideal spot for those looking to explore the local culture and natural beauty during their visit for the contest.

Local authorities and tourism operators on the island are reportedly making preparations to ensure a memorable experience for Eurovision guests. This initiative highlights Burgas’s commitment to offering a comprehensive and engaging experience beyond the main event at Arena Burgas, extending the celebration across the entire region.

Pavlin Dimitrov ( St. Anastasia Island Manager) says:

Well, I think it wEuill fit in perfectly with rovision, because in May the island is extremely fresh and green, after a nice and humid winter, which we assume we will have. So flowers everywhere, poppies and I think it can fit in quite well with Eurovision. Within a week we can welcome artists, guests. We open the season in April, so in May I think the island will be absolutely ready to welcome guests in any format. Whether it will be small group visits, whether we will do creative workshops and write songs for Eurovision here with us. Or we will welcome all the artists for a wonderful party on the island.

Pavliv adds:

We will mainly travel from Burgas with the two municipal boats “Burgos” and “Anastasia”, which can bring 200 guests in total for some event that we will hold. We have regular trips every hour, every two hours with 100 people. For such a cool dance party, we can gather up to 400 people, which we have done. The unique views we have here in the center of Burgas Bay, the rock formations where the waves crash and the vast historical and cultural heritage we have here.
