Cosmo’s Unique Journey to the Venue

In a unique promotional event leading up to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria’s representative, Cosmo, opted for an unconventional mode of transport. Instead of a typical press conference, the artist chose to experience the city like a local, boarding a tram – affectionately known as a ‘Bim’ in Vienna – for his journey to the competition venue.

The special tram ride commenced from Karlsplatz, a significant location as it hosts the Eurofan House within the Wien Museum. From there, Cosmo’s route took him on a scenic trip around the iconic Ringstrasse, offering glimpses of Vienna’s historical architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Notably, the tram passed directly by the Rathausplatz, where the bustling Eurovision Village is currently set up, allowing fans and passers-by a chance to see Austria’s hopeful.

Luxembourg’s Eurovision 2026 hopeful, Eva Marija, and the Eurovision 2026 AURI also travelled on this special tram ride.

The final destination for Cosmo’s journey was the impressive Wiener Stadthalle, the venue that will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. This charming event served as a delightful kick-off to the Eurovision week in Vienna, connecting the artist with the host city and its enthusiastic fans in an memorable way.
