About Emily Busvine
ORF’s official press release reads:
Emily Busvine was born in Vienna in 1996 and grew up in Berlin, Warsaw, and Moscow, among other places. She studied political science and social anthropology at the University of Cambridge and moved back to Vienna in 2018, where she completed a master’s degree at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. Since the beginning of 2016, Busvine has been a regular co-host of the FM4 Morning Show with Philipp Emberger. Her English-Austrian background and growing up in different countries have given her a vibrant patchwork of pop culture knowledge. This allows her to bring a wealth of perspectives to the FM4 studio and now also to the Eurovision Song Contest. When she’s not hosting, she’s on stage as an actress, playing dice games in epic D&D adventures, or walking her dog Wookiee in the Vienna Woods.
Emily Busvine has already been involved with the Eurovision Song Contest. She hosted the YouTube live stream for “Vienna Calling,” the Austrian national final, which reached hundreds of thousands of Eurovision fans via the official Eurovision channel. With a 62 percent audience share in the key demographic of viewers under 34, the format was also a huge success.
The 2026 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna on 12, 14 and 16 May.
