What would a Eurovision Super Saturday be without a show from Sweden. Among the several shows to follow tonight, the fifth semi-final of Melodifestivalen 2025 went live from Jönköping. The line-up of the final of the 65th Swedish selection to Eurovision is now complete. Who will be crowned winner and follow the footsteps of Marcus and Martinus? The answer in the next Eurovision Super Saturday on 8 March.
The fifth and last semifinal of Meldifestivalen 2025 was held today in Husqvarna Garden in Jönköping. The last set of six contestants took to the stage for one the last two tickets directly qualifying to the Grand Final of 8 March 2025.
Tonight’s participants
- Arvingarna – Ring baby ring
- Arwin – This dream of mine
- Saga Ludgvigsson – Hate you so much
- Victoria Silvstedt – Love it!
- Vilhelm Buchaus – I’m yours
- Scarlet – Sweet n’ psycho
Tonight’s qualifiers
Saga Ludvigsson won the first round, while Scarlet came on top of the second round. They will both advance to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2025. Placed third, Arwin, has qualified for the runoff race.
But wait, there is more!
Tonight also saw the runoff race between all third-placed acts of the five semi-finals. They had one additional chance to be present on stage in Stockholm in a week time. The race took place between:
- Meira Omar – Hush hush
- Kaliffa – Salute
- Dolly Style – Yihaa
- Ella Tiritiello – Bara du är här
- Arwin – This Dream of Mine
The most voted third-placed act was Dolly Style with the song Yihaa, while Meira Omar with Hush Hush won the final qualification chance and will also be present next week.
The final line-up
We therefore have all 12 acts for the Grand Final of the 65th Melodifestivalen 2025 scheduled at Strawberry Arena in Stockholm on Saturday 8 March. The winner will have the honour of representing the Scandinavian Eurovision powerhouse at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland. Sweden has been drawn to perform in the first half of the first semi-final on Tuesday 13 May 2025.
Melodifestivalen 2025
Melodifestivalen 2025 consists a total of six live televised shows. The competition will be travelling to six different cities across Sweden, kicking off in Lulea on Saturday 1 February and concluding in Stockholm on Saturday 8 March.
Keyyo and Edvin Törnblom have the grand honour of hosting this year’s edition of the Swedish national selection- Melodifestivalen 2025.

A total of 30 entries have partaken at this year’s edition of Melodifestivalen. The selection jury has selected 15 songs, whilst the remaining 15 songs were determined by SVT.
