We have the first set of MESC 2025 finalists, after last night’s first sem-final!
Last night saw the first semi-final of MESC 2025 take place in Malta, where a total of 12 acts battled for 8 spots in the Grand Final. The following acts have qualified to Saturday’s Grand Final:
- Mark Anthony Bartolo – «Hideaway»
- Raquela Dalli – «Silenced»
- Kristy Spiteri – «Heaven Sent»
- Justine Shorfid – «Still I Rise»
- JVF (Jessika, Victorio, Fabrizio) – «Festa (No Time For Siesta)»
- Adria Twins – «Qalb Ma’ Galb»
- Victoria Sciberras – «Juno»
- Kurt Calleja – «Aziz/a»
The top 8 acts qualified from last night’s semi-final qualified to the Grand Final. The show was held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali. MESC 2025 was hosted byPauline Agius, Davide Tucci and Valentina Rossi.
This year’s Czech Eurovision hopeful, ADONXS, graced the stage during the interval of the show and performed an acoustic version of his Eurovision entry ‘Kiss Kiss Goodbye’.
About MESC 2025
Malta will be selecting its Eurovision act and entry for 2025 via its traditional national selection – Malta Eurovision Song Contest (MESC). MESC 2025 consists of three televised shows ( 2 semi-finals and a Grand Final). The semi-finals will be held on 4 and 6 February. The Maltese national final will be held on 8 February 2025 at MFCC in Ta’ Qali.
A total of 24 songs will compete in the semi-finals ( 12 songs in each semi-final), the top 8 songs from each semi-final will proceed to the Grand Final. Hence a total of 16 songs will battle for the golden ticket to Eurovision 2025.
The 2025 Maltese Eurovision entry will be determined via a combined jury/public televoting deliberation.
