Farewell to 2024! A warm welcome to 2025! One more year has gone by, one more Eurovision season is over thus making way to the 2025 season. We will be heading to Basel, Switzerland in the new year!
In 2025, we will be travelling to the Alps for the Eurovision Song Contest, namely to Switzerland which will be hosting the competition for the third time in Eurovision history.
Eurovision fans will be more than happy to travel to one of most iconic, happening and beautiful cities in Switzerland, namely to Basel on the crossroads between Switzerland, France and Germany .Basel will have the grand honour of welcoming the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in the history of the competition.

2025 will be taking us back to the land of Toblerone, Lindt, Luca Hanni, Celine Dion, Roger Federer, Heidi, Nemo, Zurich, Lugano, Basel, Bern, Lausanne, Interlaken, Matternhorn, Lucerne, Biel, Wintherthur, skiing, Fribourg, St. Gallen, the Alps, Omega, Swatch, Davidoff, Longines, Tag Heuer, Sandoz, Novartis, Maurice Lacroix, Chopard, Certina, Rolex, Rado, Certina, Piaget, Raymond Weil, Helvetia, Zenith, cuckoo clocks, Swiss knives, Tissot, Swiss cheese, Breitling, Hublot, Patek Phillip, Credit Swiss, Suchard, chocolates, cheese fondue, raclette, Gruyere cheese, banking, cow bells, yodelling, Albert Einstein etc. Yes, we are talking about of none other than Switzerland.
The Eurovision bandwagon will be heading back to Switzerland after 36 years, as the last time when the country hosted the competition was back in 1989 when Lausanne welcomed the international music festival at the Palais de Beaulieu.

The 2025 Eurovision season has already kicked off. Hence we already know the representatives of the following countries: Albania, Cyprus, Netherlands, Montenegro and Czechia.
National finals for the 2025 Eurovision season kicked off in 2024 and more national finals and special presentation shows are scheduled to be held all over Europe in January, February and March.
A total of 38 countries will partake in our beloved contest this year. Monaco, Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and and Turkey will not to return to the contest in 2025. We will be welcoming Montenegro back to the competition with open arms after a 2 year hiatus.
