KAN, the Israeli national broadcaster, has opened the song submission window for Eurovision 2025.

KAN, the Israeli national broadcaster, is working round the clock in its search for the 2025 Eurovision entry and published the rules and regulations for the Israeli song selection for Eurovision 2025.

KAN and private Israeli channel Keshet have approached 120 creators to submit song proposals for Eurovision 2025. The 2025 Israeli Eurovision song will be premiered in March on KAN 11. One of the requirements of the selection is that the song must include lyrics in Hebrew.

The song submission window is open until 2 February 2025. Hereafter a special committee of experts consisting of KAN and KESHET music professionals will evaluate all submitted entries and select the song that will represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.

The 2025 Israeli Eurovision act will be determined via Keshet 12’s ‘ The Next Eurovision Star’ music show.

KAN’s official press release reads:

The regulations for writing the Israeli song for Eurovision, which this year also includes a requirement to incorporate the Hebrew language in the lyrics, were published today and detail the process for selecting the song. The creators will be able to submit the proposed songs until February 2, 2025. Upon receipt of the songs, a professional committee will convene, consisting of professionals from “Kan” and “Keshet”, with musical knowledge and rich television experience.

The committee will listen to all the songs and choose the song most suitable to represent Israel. The selection will be made through an orderly process, detailed in the regulations. The song will be revealed to the public in a special broadcast that will be broadcast on Kan 11 in March, after the Israeli representative is chosen in the program “The Next Star for Eurovision”, which is currently airing on Keshet Channel.
