While televoters were casting their preferences, the co-hosts announced a series of prizes. The interval act was ensured by Sergej Ćetković and his iconic Moj svijet, the first Montenegrin song to perform in a Eurovision Grand Final, as well as by former Eurovision winner Emmelie de Forest (Denmark, Eurovision 2013) with Only teardrops, who was also part of the expert jury.
The winner was proclaimed at the end of an exciting voting sequence. Nina Žižić with the entry Dobrodošli won the jury vote with 59 points, but the televote was yet to come. The 59 points were transformed into the douze points from the jury.
Finally, the band NeonoeN created the surprise getting 10 points also from the televote and topping the final ranking with 20 points. The act will receive the honour of representing the Balkan country at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
Montenegro in Eurovision
Montenegro debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 with Stefan Faddy and is yet to win the competition. The country achieved its best results in the contest in 2015 with Knez‘s Balkan ballad Adio who placed 13th in the Grand Final of Vienna with 44 points.
The former Yugoslav republic has only made it to the Eurovision Grand Final on two occasions, namely in 2014 and 2015. The Balkan country has competed in Europe’s favourite television show 12 times.
In 2022 Vladana represented Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy with her entry Breathe but failed to reach the Grand Final.
