The Eurovision 2025 national selection season kicks off tonight in Montenegro, with the Balkan country being the very first country to hold a national final for Eurovision 2025 aka Montesong 2024.

Montenegro is back in the Eurovision game after a two year hiatus and is organizing a full fledged national final to determine its Eurovision 2025 act and entry.

Join us tonight for Montesong 2024 as Montenegro determines its Eurovision entry and act for Basel 2025.

About the show

A total of 16 acts will be competing tonight for the golden ticket to Eurovision 2o25. The show will be held at the Voco Hall in Podgorica. The Montenegrin Eurovision entry and act will be determined via 50/50 expert jury-public voting deliberation.

Montenegro in Eurovision

Montenegro debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest as a solo country in 2007 with Stefan Faddy and is yet to win the competition. The country achieved its best results in the contest in 2015 with Knez‘s Balkan ballad Adio.

The former Yugoslav republic has only made it to the Eurovision Grand Final on two occasions, namely in 2014 and 2015. The Balkan country has competed in Europe’s favourite television show 12 times.

In 2022 Vladana represented Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin with her entry ‘Breathe‘.
