Eurovision 2019: A special overview of this year’s polls and odds

Only a few hours are left until the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, the winner of which home the trophy, as well as next year’s Eurovision edition. Everybody’s predictions on the winner are in full swing and soon to be confirmed or not!

Our tension is higher than ever and as with every year, ESCToday decided to bring a round-up of all polls and odds that were conducted over the recent months, in the hope to make our guessings easier!

Before and after the arrival of the participating delegations in Tel Aviv, a vast number of polls and odds were ongoing, showcasing the huge appeal of the competition across Europe and beyond its borders.

OGAE and INFE Polls

Two of the biggest Eurovision fan clubs, OGAE (Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision) and INFE (International Network of Fanclubs of Eurovision) have voted for their favourite songs and contestants and below you may find their Top 3:

OGAE Poll 2019

The 44 OGAE fan clubs returned for 2019 and declared their favourite entries of the year! Find their Top 3 below:

  1. Italy – 411 points
  2. Switzerland – 406 points
  3. The Netherlands – 401 points

INFE Poll 2019

Another popular and international network of Eurovision fans (INFE), which consists of 22 individual clubs awarded their points to the countries of their preference. Their Top 3 was formed as follows:

  1. The Netherlands – 201 points
  2. Switzerland – 157 points
  3. Italy – 133 points

Betting odds

Having begun since late December, all betting shops have worked feverishly in their trial to correctly predict the eventual results of this year’s contest. Although this year’s betting odds will be ongoing until the time of the final, they are currently being leaded by:

  • The Netherlands (Winning chance: 45%)
  • Australia (Winning chance: 11%)
  • Switzerland (Winning chance: 10%)

Google Search

As with every year, the world’s leading search engine, Google, revealed which Eurovision candidates have been mostly searched through the pre-Eurovision period. The 3 most searched countries in 2019 have been:

  • The Netherlands
  • Russia
  • Italy

Commentators’ Poll

Each country’s artists and journalists who arrived in Tel Aviv in order to provide commentary on the live shows have also submitted their points, bringing the following entries to the their top:

  • The Netherlands: 121 points
  • Italy: 102 points
  • Sweden and Iceland: 70 points
