It was the first fully released Eurovision 2019 entry, but now it underwent some changes! The winner of the Albanian national selection event, Festivali i Këngës 58, Jonida Maliqi, has revamped her Eurovision song Ktheju tokës and is ready to deliver it to her fans!
The official video clip of Ktheju tokës was released yesterday along with the revamped version of the track. Ktheju tokës has been composed by Eriona Rushiti and the song’s lyrics refer to the Albanian immigrants around the world. Following in the footsteps of Eugent Bushpepa, Jonida will retain her winning song in the Albanian language.
The video premiered last night at the main news bulletin of the national broadcaster RTSH.
The song’s revamp took place in February in Stockholm, from where Jonida shared some of her moments on her official Instagram account:

It seems that Albania will be setting the bar high for yet another year, as in 2018 they received a very satisfying Eurovision result, as they came 11th in the Grand Final with Eugent Bushpepa and the performance of his song Mall. This is the second best result of the Balkan country, after Rona Nishliu‘s 5th place in Baku in 2012.
Jonida Maliqi will be competing in the second half of the second semi-final on 16 May.
