It’s day three of rehearsals in the Eurovision 2018 host city of Lisbon today, in which it’s the start of the semi-final 2 participants’ appearances onstage for the very for time. We’re on to rehearsal number three where we are joined by the team from Serbia.
Day three at the Altice Arena in Lisbon and we’re continuing with the first set of rehearsals for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. Semi-final 1 is down, so today we move on to the second semi-final participants, joining the first 9 participants of the show for their first rehearsals.
Serbia’s Sanja Ilić & Balkanika are next to take to the stage for their first rehearsal today at the Lisbon venue, where they will compete next week on the 10 May with their entry Nova deca.
The Serbian group take to the stage in matching outfits, with golds and blues being the main colour theme of the country’s stage performance on the Eurovision 2018 stage and gets the audience into the feel of the song.
First look at Serbia’s first rehearsal for Eurovision 2018
Serbia’s team have introduced choreography into the nation’s performance onstage, different to what we have seen in previous performances, however right now the movements could be smoothed out in order to make the performance look more natural.
The vocals throughout Serbia’s performance are strong and add plenty of power to the Balkan entry, giving powerful ethno-vibes throughout.
Whether the performance is enough as a package to get the group through to the final, we’ll have to wait and see as to any changes are made in future rehearsals.
