Rehearsals are underway in the host city of Lisbon, with artists from across the competing semi-final 1 nations of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest are currently taking to the official stage for the very first time. Austria is the third country of the day to take to the stage for their first rehearsal.
We’re back at the Altice Arena in Lisbon for the second day of Eurovision rehearsals, where today a total of 9 artists from the first semi-final will be taking to the stage for the first time for their first set of rehearsals onstage.
The third act of the day is now onstage, namely Cesár Sampson of Austria, competing with his entry Nobody but you in Lisbon during the first semi-final on the 8 May.
Cesár begins his performance on a golden-lit platform onstage, with the singer himself places high up for the start of his act. Red soon joins the stage and appears frequently throughout.
Austria provides clean, strong vocals throughout today’s rehearsal, with Cesár’s voice working more than well with those of the backing vocalists. The perfect combination!

Dry ice fills the stage throughout the Austrian performance, before ending on the bridge towards the latter part of the rehearsal.
Cesár receives high praise from the press centre following his first rehearsal, with cheers echoing around the room. This is sure to be a crowd pleasure on the night of the first semi-final next week.
