Only a couple of days to go to the Grand Final of Supernova 2018. As Latvia prepares to elect its representative to the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, here are a couple of news for this upcoming Saturday.

First and foremost, the acts expected to perform in the national final were six. Two songs should have qualified from each of the three semi-finals. Nevertheless, Markus Riva was admitted to the final after voting failures were discovered in the second semi-final.

And just yesterday the wildcard was announced by national broadcaster LTV: the band Sudden Lights with the title Just fine are also qualified and can therefore still dream of Lisbon.

All this brought the number of finalists to eight. Let’s discover them!

Running order for Supernova 2018 revealed

This is the running order for the Grand Final. The eight competing acts are:

1. Sudden Lights – Just fine
2. Ritvars – Who’s counting?
3. MADARA – Esamība
4. Liene Greifane – Walk the talk
5. Laurie Valter – Lovers bliss
6. Edgar Kreilly – Younger days
7. Laura Rizzotto – Funny girl
8. Markus Riva – This time

The final of Supernova 2018 will take place this Satuday 24 February 2018. The winner will represent Latvia in the second half of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 10 May 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal.
