TVE 1 was the most watched television channel in Spain last night, thanks to Operación Triunfo (OT) with 23.6% of the prime time share. Last night’s OT 2017 gala broke many a record as it was the most viewed OT show of this edition, with circa 3.1 million viewers tuning in to see Spain select its Eurovision representatives for Lisbon.

The 2018 Spanish national final was the most viewed TV program in Spain last night.

It is interesting to note that the Spanish national final has not had such high viewing figures since 2004, when Ramon won the golden ticket to Istanbul during OT’s 3rd edition.
