Although no names have officially been announced, the rumour mill has been in full swing regarding the United Kingdom’s national final this year.
With the days drawing ever closer, more singers have been linked with the United Kingdom’s national final for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest – Eurovision: You Decide.
Following news last week regarding Rachel Clark being the first potential artist for the final, one more singer currently being talked about is Amelia Barnard, a 21 year old singer-songwriter, who posted an image of some filming in connection with the show via her social media.
Barnard is now the latest name the make the rounds across the Eurovision scene for the United Kingdom, however is there another reason behind the filming scenes?
All not as it seems?
Despite this recent connection with Eurovision: You Decide, this may not mean Barnard is competing in the upcoming national final.
BIMM Brighton, a music college in the same city as the Eurovision: You Decide venue, has posted a vast selection of images from behind the scenes on social media, featuring a number of their students.

In previous years following to reintroduction of the British Eurovision national final back in 2016, the BBC has featured interviews with music students and bidding artists as part of their programme, asking for their opinions on the Eurovision Song Contest: this may well be the same case this year.
Eurovision: You Decide takes place on Wednesday 7 February in Brighton at the Brighton Dome. The show will air on BBC 2 and will be hosted by returning presenter Mel Giedroyc, together with 2015 Eurovision winner and 2016 contest host, Måns Zelmerlöw.
