Alongside Eurovision tribute band and former Icelandic Eurovision Song Contest representatives, Euroband, esctoday.com will share the anniversary spirit with none other than Bobbysocks, Norway's first Eurovision Song Contest winners, who will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their victory.
Bobbysocks will perform live at the esctoday.com 10th Anniverary Party at Club Latter in Oslo on Friday 28th May. The duo, Hanna Krogh and Elisabeth Andreasson have been back in the recording studio and will be releasing a greatest hits album entited Let it swing – The best of Bobbysocks which will include two new tracks in May.
Alongside Bobbysocks, who also appeared as part of the interval act at the Melodifestivalen final in Sweden this year, Euroband will be performing some of their favourite Eurovision Song Contest songs as well as their 2008 entry This is my life.
Fridrik Omar from Euroband told esctoday.com that "They're huge in Iceland, everyone knows them here in Iceland and we can't wait to perform on stage with them. They are two classy ladies and I love them. I can't wait to see them as a fan".
Tickets for the event will be available on the door on the night, priced at 50 NRK for accredited Eurovision Song Contest fans and media and 100 NRK for regular party-goers. There will be no tickets sold online, it is strictly first come, first served on the door.
