Who’s keen on alternative sounds? This release is for you! Can Bonomo, the 2012 and last Turkish Eurovision representative has made public the music video for his single Yan (Burn).

Yan is the first single from Can’s fourth and latest album Kâinat Sustu, which saw a release last March. The song is characterized by a harmony of alternative and Balkan elements. Its music video features Can singing for his beloved in a forest full of red balloons of love, as well as in a luxury house. A large orchestra playing several musical instruments, such as electronic guitar, trumpets and snare drums, accompanies him.

Can Bonomo’s record label, Avrupa Müzik released the video a few days ago:

TRT, the Turkish national broadcaster announced in January 2012 that the young singer Can Bonomo was all set to represent them at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in neighboring country Azerbaijan.

Can Bonomo presented his pop rock Eurovision entry Love me back one month later, through a special televised show. The song quickly became a hit in his native country, as it managed to reach No. 2 in the Turkish charts.

At the contest, he participated in the second semi-final evening and qualified to the final, where he earned a respectable 7th place with 115 points. However, this marked Turkey’s last Eurovision appearance, as the country withdrew in 2013 and has not returned since.
