It’s time to return to Israel this evening for the continuation of the country’s national selection for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest: The Next Star.

Auditions continue once again in Israel as the search for the nation’s next Eurovision representative takes place. Who else will join the next stage of the competition?

The show

Hosts Assi Azar and Rotem Sela return this evening for yet another audition show of The Next Star in Israel.

A further selection of artists will perform to both the audience alongside the 4-member judging panel, hoping to qualify to the next round of the competition.

Auditionees need to receive at least 70% of the ‘Yes’ from a combined public and jury vote in the hope of qualifying from the first stage. Judges provide a maximum of 40% of the ‘Yes’ vote in total, whilst the remaining percentage will be determined by the audience.

Auditions will continue into tomorrow evening, in which a shorter episode of The Next Star will air on Keshet 12.

Last year’s representative, who was determined via The Next Star selection, was Imri who represented Israel in Kyiv with his entry I feel alive.
