Belgian Eurostars Laura Tesoro (Eurovision 2016) and Blanche (Eurovision 2017) are nominated in various categories at the MIA’s.
The MIA’s, or Music Industry Awards, are the prestigious awards of the Belgian music industry, crowning the most successful artists of 2017. They are an initiative of Flemish-Belgian broadcaster VRT and arts organization Kunstenpunt.
The eleventh edition of the MIA’s will be awarded at the special gala, Tuesday January 30 2018, at Paleis 12, Brussels. The award show will be broadcast live on channel Eén.
Two former Eurovision participants are nominated for several MIA’s:
- Laura Tesoro is nominated in the categories Best Pop Act and Best Female Solo Performer.
- Blanche is nominated for Breakthrough Of The Year and Hit Of The Year (for her Eurovision 2017-hit, City lights).

About Laura Tesoro
Laura Tesoro represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden. With her entry What’s the pressure, she eventually reached a respectable 10th place in the Grand Final, earning 181 points.
Laura Tesoro went on to have a successful career, releasing various hit singles, and additionally working as an actress and TV-host.
About Blanche
Blanche (Ellie Delvaux) represented Belgium at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. Performing the song City lights, she ultimately reached an honourable 4th place in the Grand Final, receiving 363 points.
Blanche is currently diligently working on her musical career.
