Tonight, the United Kingdom's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 will be held. Six acts are going to compete in the national final hoping to be chosen to perform the song written by Pete Waterman and Mike Stock in Oslo.
The show
The show to be broadcast on BBC ONE will start at 20:30 local time(21:30CET) and it will be hosted by Graham Norton. Six acts are going to compete and the winner will be chosen in two rounds. In the first round, all six acts will perform a cover version of a famous song and these six individual performances will be followed by a group performance. After the first round has finished, head judge Pete Waterman, who is supported by 2009 Eurovision Song Contest representative Jade Ewen and Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli, will choose three acts to compete in the second round. In the second round, these three acts will all perform their own version of the song written by Pete Waterman. Televoting will then decide who of them is going to represented the United Kingdom in Oslo with this song.
The interval acts will be performed by Sugababes, who will present their latest single Wear my kiss and Alexander Rybak, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 for Norway.
