Tonight, the Azerbaijani national final for the Eurovision Song Contest was held. Three acts competed with a total of four different songs and in the end the jury decided to give Safura the ticket to Oslo. The song she will perform will be chosen on 19th March. The songs she performed during the show were Drip drop, Under my skin and Soulless.

The winning performer was chosen by a jury alone. The members of the jury were:

The esctoday.com poll voters did not agree with the choice. Safura's three performances only got 18.9% of all votes in total. The most popular one was Drip drop finishing fourth with 13.2%.

The polls for the esctoday.com national final awards 2010 will be launched after the announcement of the song has taken place.

In 2009, Azerbaijan was represented by Aysel & Arash, who finished second in the second semi final and third in the grand final with their song Always. In 2010, the country will compete in the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 27th May.
