The 2017 Greek Eurovision representative, Demy is in the middle of many professional commitments for the winter season. Among them is the release of her brand new single Ston Aera (In the air). This new song from the “Princess of Greek Pop” marks her second single after Eurovision, after her single M’ ekdikise, which was released last June.

Last Wednesday, her record label Panik Records published a teaser of her new entry, before its full release on 16 October. The song is an atmospheric ballad and will also serve as the soundtrack for a brand new Greek film titled Success story. The composer of the song is Dimitris Kontopoulos, who had also composed her Eurovision entry This is love and lyrics are by Nikos Gritsis.
This weekend, Demy is taking part at the Disney in Concert show, held at the Tae Kwo Do court in Athens. The show has been taking annually in Greece since 2012 and presents in Greek lyrics beloved songs from Disney musical films such as The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and The Lion King. Moreover, 26 October sees the premiere of the musical play Mamma Mia!, held at the Akropol Theater. For one more year, Demy will be starring by the side of the very successful Greek singer and hostess of the 2013 and 2014 Greek national finals, Despina Vandi.
UPDATE (16/10/17):
The full version and music video for the song are now fully released by Demy’s record label Panik Records. During the video, Demy sings among the protagonists of the film Success Story, as several movie scenes are featured. The film premieres on 2 November at the Greek cinemas.
Demy at Eurovision
Last January, the Greek national broadcaster ERT internally selected Demy to represent them at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. After a national final with 3 candidate songs in March, it was decided that Demy would sing the pop entry This is love to Kyiv. The filming of the music videos of the 3 songs had taken place in Odessa, Ukraine in February.
At the contest, Demy managed to progress to the Grand Final and finished 19th with 77 points.
