The Albanian 2017 representative Lindita travelled to Podgorica, Montenegro as part of her promo tour for her entry World. During her visit to the headquarters of the national broadcaster RTCG, she had only good words to say about her co-competitor and entrant for Montenegro Slavko Kalezić.

Lindita’s statements

In her interview, Lindita said that she and Slavko have become very good friends and made the following statements:

I am absolutely convinced that Slavko will be successful in the competition, because he has an excellent performance, he is very talented and knows how to make people pay attention to him. The audience has already loved his performances throughout Europe.

About her own entry World, she revealed her expectations that the European audience will like her song as it encompasses big meaning, talking about equality, global love and respect to the difference.

When it comes to her expectations for the final placing of the song, she stated that she will give her best but most importantly for her is that she is appearing on the Eurovision stage.

This year’s entry marks the 14th participation of Albania to the Eurovision Song Contest. Its highest result so far is a 5th place in 2012 with Rona Nishliu and Suus.

The country will appear 4th in the first semi-final on 9 May. The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest is taking place on 9,11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
