Ukraine: Jamala to premiere her new song at the ESC 2017 Grand Final

The Ukrainian singer Jamala will perform twice during the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest shows: in the First Semi-Final on 9 May and in the Grand-Final on 13 May.

In the First Semi-Final Jamala will sing her song Zamanyly (They Decoyed) and present the symphonic version of 1944 song; and the Grand-Final will witness the world premiere of Jamala’s new single I Believe in U.

Jamala’s song 1944 won the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm. Her performances in the ESC 2016 Semi-final and  Grand-Final have totally gained over 26 million views on YouTube, while the official video of 1944 has been viewedmore than two million times. Jamala’s album 1944 was released in Europe and the US last summer.

On 9 May during the First Semi-final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest  Jamala will perform the symphonic version of 1944 during the First Semi-final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.

Zamanyly (They Decoyed) has been composed by Jamala together with the ethno-chaos band DakhaBrakha and released in late October, 2016. The song was awarded YUNA-2017 prize in the “Best Duo” nomination.

The major premiere at the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will be none other than the presentation of Jamala’s new single I Believe in U. The performance will feature Jamala’s team from the Voice of the Country TV show on “1+1” Channel: Anna Kuksa, Naile Ibraimova, and Kemi Oke. The official videoclip  of  I Believe in U was filmed in Portugal two weeks ago and was directed by Igor Stekolenko. The video was shot in Lisbon, Sintra and Alentejo in the course of 3 days. The new single and its official videoclip are scheduled to release by mid May.
