The 2015 Swedish Eurovision winner, Måns Zelmerlöw is visiting several countries during their national finals for Eurovision 2017, before his European Chamealeon Tour in April. After Estonia’s national competition Eesti Laul, now it’s time for Iceland to welcome him in their annual competition Söngvakeppnin.

Måns’ arrival

Måns has already arrived in the land of ice in the morning and a journalist of the national broadcaster RÚV welcomed him in the studios, asking him several questions. He stated that this is his first time to visit Iceland, but he knows some characteristics of its culture, as he was dating an Icelandic woman for a while. The singer also tasted Icelandic spirits and he noticed that they are similar to the Swedish schnapps.

The Swedish star will appear on Saturday in Söngvakeppnin as the interval act. He will perform his winning entry Heroes as well as his new single Glorious, which has become a smash hit.

Iceland is going to perform in the second half of the first semi-final evening on 9 May. The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will is scheduled to take place at the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv, Ukraine.
