Sweden: Where is Ukraine? Melodifestivalen acts look for the host country

Yesterday evening all Melodifestivalen 2017 final participants were welcomed at Stockholm’s iconic City Hall. The final of the Swedish national competition is taking place this Saturday at Friends Arena in the Swedish capital. The guests were treated with lots  drinks and food, you could  feel the  happy mood amongst all the contestants. 

Their biggest question was who is going to be the winner on Saturday, not forgeting the most difficult question of the night which was accompanied with a map of Europe where Sweden is highlighted in red…

Sweden selects its Eurovision entrant  every year since their debut in 1958 via Melodifestivalen and has been one of the most successful countries in the contest with 6 victories (in 1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012 and 2015) and 23 top 5 placements.

The 2017 Melodifestivalen  Grand Final is scheduled to be held on 11 March at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

The  Scandinavian country will participate in the first half of the first semi-final on 9 May. The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest is going to take place on  9, 11 and 13 May 2017 at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
