We are heading to Linköping tonight for Melodifestivalen’s Andra Chansen where 8 acts will battle in duels for the golden ticket to the Grand Final of the 2017 Swedish Eurovision national selection. Four acts will qualify to the grand final in Stockholm  during tonight’s Andra Chansen round.

Tonight we will know the complete line up for the forthcoming 2017 Melodifestivalen Grand Final scheduled to be be held on 11 March at the Friends Arena in Stockholm.

One of the most anticipated acts to take the stage tonight will be the 2012 Swedish Eurovision winner Loreen who this year is vying to compete with her dramatic entry Statements.

The show

Tonight’s show will be held at the SAAB Arena in Linköping and will be hosted by Hasse Andersson, David Lindgren and Clara Henry.

A total of 8 songs will compete in the show; they have been distributed in 4 duels. Two songs will battle in each duel for the golden ticket to the final, thus a total of 4 songs will be determined for the final of Melodifestivalen via a 100% public voting deliberation.

The winners of the 4 duels will join the qualified 8 acts on March 11 in Stockholm: Ace Wilder, Nano, Mariette, Benjamin Ingrosso, Robin Bengstsson, Owe Thörnqvist, Jon Henrik Fjällgren featuring Aninia and Wiktoria.

A total of 12 acts will fight for the right to defend the Swedish colours in Kyiv during next week’s Melodifestivalen’s Grand Final.

The Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2017 is scheduled to be held on Saturday 11 March at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
