The Netherlands: Has O’G3NE made their choice for Eurovision?

Eurovision fever is high in the Netherlands, as the 2017 Dutch representatives O’G3NE seem to have chosen their song for Kyiv.

From a special Eurovision songwriting camp to 40 songs, from 40 to 12 shortlisted songs, from 12 to 3 potential songs, and from 3 to the number 1: O’G3NE is making serious work of finding the right song for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. And apparently, the charismatic trio of sisters Lisa, Amy and Shelley Vol have made their choice.

On Facebook, singer-songwriter Aischa Traidia states that two of her songs made it to O’G3NE’s top 3, but unfortunately were not chosen in the last evaluation. That statement indicates that the popular Dutch girlband has definitely chosen their Eurovision entry.

This is what Aischa Traidia says on Facebook on 17 January 2017:

Writing Eurovision Song Contest songs for O’G3NE! That’s what I have been doing lately with great joy! I even had 2 songs in the top 3! Proud of myself.

Moreover, in the comments the singer-songwriter elucidates that the other, third song was chosen for Eurovision.

The title and writer(s) of the chosen song are as yet unknown, there is no official statement by O’G3NE. However, it is very likely that the 2017 Dutch Eurovision entry will be presented to the public in the coming weeks, broadcaster AVROTROS has stated the end of February or early March 2017.
