Malta 
PBS, the Maltese national broadcaster, has released a list of the preliminary 60 entries which will proceed to the next shortlisting stage for the country’s national final; Malta Eurovision Song Contest (MESC) 2017.
Having received a total of 156 applicants earlier this year for the Maltese national final, PBS has since shortlisted a total number of 60 entries for the next stage of the selection process, each of whom were revealed via TVM earlier this evening.

From here, PBS will go on to determine which 16 acts will make the final shortlist and compete in Malta’s national final for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, with a final list of entries expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Unlike with previous years, MESC will only consist of 1 final show with the semi-final stage of the selection process being dropped. The final of MESC 2017 will take place in February, with an official date set to be unveiled in due course.
