This weekend saw the first semi-final of the Armenian national selection for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, Depi Evratesil, with only 4 acts remaining in the competition.

Saturday evening saw the 6 Depi Evratesil semi-finalists perform live to the public for the very first time, singing for the right to remain in the contest and qualify to the second semi-final.

Following each performance, it was down to the jury and public to decide which 4 acts should move forward in the selection; the 2 artists which received the fewest combined points in total were eliminated.

Despite receiving high praise from the jury, Vahe Aleksanyan gained the lowest amount of votes from the televote and was therefore eliminated from the selection, alongside Lucy who received the fewest amount of votes from the jury.
