Watch now: Live auditions for Belarusian national final

Today sees the live audition show of the Belarusian selection process taking place, where the 67 bidding entries will perform for the right to represent Belarus at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv next May.

With 67 valid entries set to be performed to the specialist Belarusian jury today, only a maximum of 15 entries will qualify to the country’s national final based on today’s live audition. Who will the finalists be?

Live audition phase in Belarus

Kicking off this morning and running throughout today, the 67 submitted entries will be performed live to the specialist jury for the very first time, who each will thoroughly judge each song and performance as a package.

Following the audition phase, the expert jury members will deliberate and decide which of the 67 entries should compete in the Belarusian national final, set to take place no later than the 25 January 2017 at the 600 Meter studio in Minsk.

A maximum of 15 entries can be shortlisted for the national final and will be revealed this evening following the live auditions.

Ivan was selected to represent Belarus at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest with his song Help you fly. Competing in the second semi-final, Ivan received a total of 84 points and finished in 12th position, therefore failing to qualify to the Grand Final.
