The Swiss participant in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, Mélanie René, has released her new EP.

Lettre de Noël (Letters of Christmas) was released yesterday, and today Mélanie posted a video announcement of the news on her Facebook page. She also thanked her fans for their continuing support.

The EP consists of five tracks, Mélanie’s own versions of a few classic Christmas carols as well as the titular track, Lettre de Noël.

Mélanie René represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and finished in 17th place her semi-final with 4 points.


Eleanor (or Ellie), is 26 years old, is from Exeter in the UK. She combines motherhood with studying linguistics. Ellie was first allowed to stay up and watch the Eurovision Song Contest aged 5 in 1999, but really fell in love with it after the Athens 2006 contest. Big key changes and dramatic stage shows are an absolute must! Ellie has also written an A* academic dissertation on the cultural history of Eurovision.
