After being an official partner of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Visa will play a role of an official partner again in Kyiv 2017.
During Eurovision 2016 Visa Europe had welcomed the visitors of the Eurovision Song Contest with futuristic payment methods such as a contactless card and a contactless wristband for paying and getting benefits in the Eurovillage and the Globen Arena, which worked great with the Swedish vision of reducing the use of cash.
“We are delighted to have Visa on board again for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, following a successful partnership this year. Visa did a superb job driving engagement with Eurovision fans via innovative payment solutions and activities at Eurovision Village in Stockholm”, said Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Producer of the Eurovision Song Contest at the EBU.

Visa themselves see the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 as an opportunity to expand acceptance and enhance preference for Visa products and services in favour of the people of Ukraine as well as of the visitors that will come to Kyiv in May.
More details about the international and national partners for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 regarding telecommunications, technology, transportation, styling and more will be announced in due course.
