NTU, the Ukrainian national broadcaster has confirmed that the 2016 Ukrainian Eurovision winner Jamala will be one of the jury members at the forthcoming 2017 Ukrainian Eurovision national selection.

Jamala will join Konstantin Meladze on the jury pannel when Ukraine selects its Eurovision act and entry for Kyiv.

Jamala won the 2016 Ukrainian national final and went on to represent Ukraine at the 2016 ESC in Stockholm. She won the competition and brought the Eurovision trophy back on home soil for the 2nd time with her entry 1944.

Jamala has gained much international exposure and fame ever since she was declared the winner of the 2016 ESC in Sweden last May.

The 2017 Ukrainian Eurovision national selection will be co-produced by STB and NTU like was the case in 2016. The 2017 Ukrainian national final is scheduled to be held next February.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
